How Jackdaw e-learning CMS works?
Jackdaw's Content Management System (CMS) both allows you to create new e-learning courses as well as edit existing e-Learning content. Read below to see how the CMS allows you to edit and create e-learning, else view the following tour for a brief overview of the e-learning CMS:
Jackdaw: CMS Home Page
Here the user selects an e-learning course to edit, else can create new e-learning using the same CMS..
The courses can be published onto any SCORM compliant Learning Management System (LMS) from this screen. Jackdaw e-learning courses from various suppliers are showcased on this screen.
Jackdaw: Editing e-Learning
The user can edit the e-learning, the CMS is used to copy and paste appropriate templates into the course structure.
This is a very simple screen involving a single learning object. Most templates are extendable so many learning objects can be included in the same screen.
The CMS enables the user to change the underlying XML which controls the e-learning. usually the CMS is only used to alter the Title, Content and Image tags on each e-learning screen.
Note the inclusion of the optional video presenter into the system.
Jackdaw: Running in Learning Management System
The Jackdaw CMS creates e-learning which can be run on any SCORM v1.2 Learning Management System, including the Open Source Systems such as Open Elms and Moodle (which effectively means your Learning Management System free of charge).
