Upgrades

The following are a list of upgrades recently added to the Jackdaw e-learning authoring software:

Import PowerPoint: Dynamic PowerPoint slides can be imported seemlessly with the Free AuthorGen download.

Interactive Buttons: interactions can now be placed on image buttons allowing for complete flexibility in creating new templates using xml.

Improved Interface: Home screen cleaner and less resource intensive, the menu is not so intrusive in the room file.

Multi-langauge Support: now accepts full ASCII set of characters (Arabic, Chinese, Russian etc.)

Default Templates now contain 250+ screens

Default thumbnail and background libraries available

Development Menu - now you can preview up to 30 screens prior to template selection

Screen Preview - increased in size by 50%

Default title bar color - can now match any selected corporate branding.

Simplified Interface - only editable tags are displayed

Courses can contain greater than 100 screens

Multiple content tags can be added at each step - ideal for charts etc where the labels need to be updated

Help videos on You Tube added unique to each template type

Falling blocks template now scales properly in design time

Checks for up to date room file

Software reskin

Version 4 of the software is available for downloading today.

Image/Video/Presenter tag properties added - images and video can be moved around the screen and resized.

Option to remove Jackdaw Intro.

Load default thumbnail to all course menu items

Load default background added to all screens

Simplified tag names

Quizzes editable using Jackdaw interface

Prevention of ampersand in course name removes bug

Prevention of editing properties for the Flash tag

Accessibility description field now added automatically to call text tags

Prevention of deletion of templates course

Addition of revert option to fall back to the previously edited version of each screen

Narrator includes voiceover as well as video.
